Meet The Team
Kirsty Gilbert, Director
Kirsty established SRP in 1999. She has over 25 years private practice physiotherapy experience and has a Masters qualification in Manipulative Physiotherapy.
Aside from running a successful Physio practice for 20 years, her career highlights include being an invited Physiotherapist speaker at the 5th IOC Sports Medicine Conference 1999, and being involved as a SASI swimming and kayaking Team Physiotherapist.
Kirsty has a passion for treating neck and back pain ranging from the young athlete to the elderly with expertise in Manipulative physiotherapy, dry needling and clinical pilates rehabilitation.
In her spare time Kirsty loves playing hockey and spending time with her family including her 3 school age children.
Kirsty is at the clinic on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Anna has been an integral and dynamic part of SRP for over 10 years. She graduated from the University of Melbourne in 2000 and since then has worked in private practice working closely with St Kilda and Amateur League Footballers in Victoria, classical ballet dancers, gymnasts, triathletes and netballers.
She spent many years as the Physiotherapist for the Queenstown Gymnastics Club and in 2012 had the honour of being chosen as the SA State Team Physiotherapist for the Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Nationals Competition in Sydney.
Anna has a high level of expertise in Clinical Pilates Rehabilitation and has been teaching since 2002 with a strong focus on postural correction and particularly loves physiotherapy treatment of children and adolescents.
Anna is at the clinic on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Alice graduated from the University of South Australia in 2011. She joined the clinic in 2014 after spending two years working in private practice in the Riverland. Here she gained an invaluable wide variety of physiotherapy experience including sports injuries, Pilates Rehabilitation and post-operative joint management.
She has a strong commitment to ongoing professional development and has already gained an excellent reputation treating patients at our clinic using her progressive clinical skills including dry needling techniques.
Alice is a strong advocate for a fit and healthy lifestyle which is reflected in her treatment approach.
Alice is at the clinic every Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and one Saturday a month.
Carly Malcolm (Currently on Maternity Leave)
Carly completed a Bachelor of Applied Science (Human Movement and Health Studies) at the University of South Australia in 2011. Graduating as a Physiotherapist in 2013 with a Master of Physiotherapy (Graduate Entry) she then joined the clinic in 2014 and has a particular interest in Women’s Health Physiotherapy and Clinical Pilates rehabilitation.
She incorporates a strong focus on manual treatment with personalised exercise rehabilitation to help you return to your best.
Carly is at the clinic every Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and every other Saturday.
Megan joined the clinic in 2017. She completed a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy at University of South Australia in 2015. Before joining the SRP team she spent time working in private practice in Kadina.
Being involved in many sports in the past including basketball and netball, she knows first hand the impact of these sports on the body and has a strong interest in sports injuries in the younger person.
She also has a keen interest in Clinical Pilates rehabilitation for the sports person.
James completed his Bachelor in Physiotherapy through the University of South Australia. He has always aspired to work within the musculoskeletal domain of physiotherapy and has a particular interest in sporting injuries and rehabilitation.
As part of his role at the clinic he is the physiotherapist for the Port District Football Club.
During his degree, he also volunteered at the Port Adelaide Magpies as a trainer, as well as the Port Adelaide Football Club in the AFL. It was during this time that he was exposed to the management and diagnosis of injuries in an elite sporting environment.
Outside of the clinic his interests include sport as well as cycling and general fitness.
Remedial Massage Therapist
Louise completed her studies in June 2018 and qualify with a Diploma of Remedial Therapy. In November 2018 she completed a certificate in pregnancy Massage with Pregnancy Massage Australia. Louise enjoys treating with Myofascial release and restoring relaxation to her clients.
In Louise’s time away from the clinic she is a golfer with a single figure handicap and is a member of The Grange golf club. Louise was a member of the South Australian team than won the national team’s title in 2006. At The Grange golf club Louise has been a member of the Sanderson cup team that has won 4 titles in a row and is a past club champion.
Remedial Massage Therapist
Alison studied Certificate IV in Massage (2010) and Diploma of Remedial Massage (2011) at Port Adelaide TAFE. She is a member of the Australian Association of Massage Therapists (AAMT). Alison has worked at several events including the City to Bay Fun Run, Knees of Fury (Muay Thai Boxing) and a Camp Quality Fundraising event providing massage to the participants.
Her interests include Lymphatic Drainage, Relaxation and Pregnancy Massage.
She enjoys working on people’s different problem areas, using a variety of techniques to obtain the desired result.
Jasmine joined SRP in 2019. With over 10 years experience in Customer Service, we knew she was the right fit as our Practice Manager.
Jasmine moved to Australia from England in 2011 so in her spare time you’ll find her making the most of our beautiful SA beaches with her two dogs.
When you come to our clinic you will most likely be greeted by Kerry, our friendly Clinical Receptionist. She has a caring nature and we’d be lost without her here. In her spare time she enjoys walking her dog and being fit and active.
Lahni is currently in her third year of her Physiotherapy studies. With a keen interest for physiotherapy, she will be more than happy to answer any booking enquiries you may have.
